A Neighbor's Tribute

The day my father passed away,
his "across-the-street" neighbor
wrote the following:

My Neighbor

Mr. Jameson has been my good neighbor
Just short of thirty three years,
He faced his problems as an adventurer
Without any doubts or fears.

He never did complain about a neighbor
Always had a helping hand,
Against morality corruption and ungodliness
He took a christian stand.

We did not attend the same Church
But he became my Christian friend,
On his jolly good humor and sincerity
Was something I could depend.

He always stood tall in our community
And one who has stood the test,
As a man who could talk without complaining
He was one of the very best.

Somtimes we are made to wonder
Why good things have to end,
We didn't only lose a neighbor
But we also lost a good friend.
